Estimator

Role Description:

To prepare accurate cost estimates assist in tender pricing and support the preparation of competitive bids for fit-out projects. The Estimator is responsible for analyzing tender documents preparing cost breakdowns and coordinating with technical and materials teams to ensure accurate and market-competitive pricing.

Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Pricing

Prepare detailed cost estimates for fit-out projects based on tender drawings specifications and BOQs.

Develop unit rates for interior fit-out works including:

o Joinery works

o Interior finishes

o Partitions ceilings flooring

o MEP coordination items

Assist in preparing preliminary and final tender pricing submissions.

Tender Analysis

Review tender documents drawings and specifications in detail.

Identify scope gaps risks and commercial inconsistencies.

Raise RFIs and clarifications during tender stage through Senior Estimation Engineer.

Assist in preparing tender compliance summaries.

Coordination with Senior Materials Engineer

Coordinate for material selection specifications and alternatives.

Obtain technical inputs for material performance availability and compliance.

Evaluate material options for value engineering opportunities.

Ensure estimates reflect approved or proposed material specifications.

Align cost assumptions with material lead times and market availability.

Supplier & Subcontractor Pricing

Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Conduct comparison analysis of received quotations.

Coordinate with procurement for updated market rates.

Maintain supplier pricing database for estimation use.

Quantity & Cost Verification

Work with Quantity Surveyors to verify quantities and BOQ accuracy.

Cross-check cost implications of design changes and revisions.

Ensure alignment between quantities material specs and pricing.

Value Engineering & Cost Optimization

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or design intent.

Suggest alternative materials or methods in coordination with Materials Engineer.

Support development of competitive tender strategies.

Tender Submission Support

Assist Senior Estimation Engineer in preparing complete tender submissions.

Prepare cost breakdown sheets summary pricing and supporting documents.

Ensure submission deadlines are met.
