Director - Capital Management

Job Purpose

• Manage activities related to investment appraisals, support in business planning, fundraising and execution, management and reporting of corporate & development funding and financial risk management
• Ensure transparency about Aldar’s capital allocation and regular reviews and evaluation of Aldar's credits to safeguard Aldar’s financial assets
  
  

Roles And Responsibilities

Investment Analysis

• Oversee rigorous financial analysis, sensitivity analysis, and reviewal of investment proposals by businesses lines (AM/DM)
• Promote the adoption of a structured approach to all investment evaluations, generating fully transparent information for management
• Lead the identification of key risk drivers of financial underwriting from feasibility models and commercial considerations of proposed transactions
• Ensure investment submissions comply with Investment Framework policies
  
  

Capital Allocation

• Manage critical functions related to investment analysis and capital allocation
• Establish and periodically review group return hurdles and cost of capital
• Make data-driven recommendations regarding the company’s strategic objectives, particularly on capital allocation decisions and strategic planning
• Perform ad-hoc credit analysis and support in dealing with credit rating agency

Strategic Company Initiatives

• Provide support in the origination of strategic initiatives (M&A, 3rd party capital raise – equity & debt)
• Oversee the preparation of pre-IC appraisals and align them with relevant stakeholders
• Manage the development of Investment Appraisals as part of the whole IC decision process
• Lead execution of live transactions, managing the transaction process, liaising with counterparties, advisors, etc
• Consolidate the input from various departments for the 5-years financial planning and assess the quality of the planning and its parts
• Execute strategic company initiatives while supporting the team with financial planning & analysis
• Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of the detailed corporate financial model
• Manage the provision of financial outputs of consolidated business plan
  
  

Qualification And Experience

RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE:

Min of 14+ years of experience in big 4, or blue-chip corporate environment.

6+ years of experience in investment banking, with strong exposure to

corporate finance, financial modelling, and investment analysis

YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION:

Min of 6+ years in a managerial position.

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE:

Real estate or related industry is preferred.

Technical And Interpersonal Skills

Excellent analytical skills, presentational skills, attention to detail to ensure high level of accuracy

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

High level of professional and personal ethical standards

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), adept at building strong relationships and teamwork

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics from a reputable university, Master's degree preferrable
