Business Development Representative

An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer for their Cleveland, Ohio team!

Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis, design and documentation of fire suppression, fire alarm and smoke control systems
  
• Supervise staff
  
• Develop strategies, alternative solutions/design approaches
  
• Conduct building/fire code studies and life safety evaluations
  
• Prepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents
  
• During bid phase, meet with contractors to review design details
  
• Assist with construction administrative duties to aid in business development (RFI response/accurate review of submittals)
  
• Ensure projects meet QA/QC standards
  
• Attend project meeting (clients, local jurisdiction, other disciplines)
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in engineering from and ABET-accredited program
  
• NICET level certification in fire suppression and/or fire alarm systems in lieu of degree
  
• 8+ years of Fire Protection Design Experience as a consultant
  
• FPE or PE License
  
• Expert-level knowledge of local/national building codes, life safety and ire code requirements (ICC/NFPA codes, IBC and NFPA 101)
  
• Knowledge of standard construction practices
  
• Experience working with contractors and addressing construction issues
  
• Proficient in fire protection design/modeling software (Revit, HAAS, FDS, CONTAM, Pathfinder)
  
• Experience designing fire alarm systems for a variety of project types
