COMPANY INTRODUCTION

JOB PURPOSE

As an Assistant Relationship Manager at Emirates NBD your role is an important pillar within the Front Office of the Private Bank despite being the most junior Relationship Manager. The position has mainly revenue generating responsibilities. The Associate Banker typically manages a portfolio of AED 75200 million generating AED 350K to AED 2.5 million in revenue. In addition he will assist the Senior Director with planning structuring and managing the clients assets. Finally the Junior Banker will be instrumental in maintaining a vibrant link between team and investment advisors in order to promote sale of investment products and servicing the clients investment needs.

  • Developing an own book to generate Net New Money & Revenues for the Private Bank.
  • Identify new prospects and develop them to become clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Contribute to the growth of the Private Bank
    • Service EAMs and Meeting their clients for account opening.
    • Showing / discussing product ideas with EAMs.
    • Develop existing client relationships guided and coached by Team Leader or Senior Director.
    • Identify potential prospects and develop them to become clients of the bank.
  • Increase the share of Invested Assets
    • Liaise with the EAMs through Private Banking Investments Team to deliver effective banking solutions tailored to the clients requirements.
    • Increasingly explore Investment opportunities with the client according to his / her Risk appetite.
    • Regularly conduct quarterly account reviews in liaison with the allocated Investment Advisor (for accounts above a certain balance threshold) and extend Investment Proposals as result of the review.
  • Increase the clients share of wallet and contribute to the diversification of the Private Bank
    • Establish and develop strong partnerships throughout the entire Private Bank and other ENBD business lines including close collaboration with the Corporate Banking Retail Banking Investment Banking and Asset Management.
  • Increase teamwork and develop team members
    • Actively introduce clients and prospects to Senior team members and seek guidance and support in terms of relationship management and products to develop them.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Education
    • Bachelors degree in Finance / Economics / Banking / Business Management or have worked in a financial institution for over 4 years.
  • Experiences
    • Minimum 4 years of overall related experience
    • Having an existing book of relationships and contacts consisting of highnetworth individuals
    • Experience in the framework and business etiquette in MENA markets
  • Knowledge & Skills
    • Basic knowledge of assets & liabilities products as well as capital markets portfolio management and investment products
    • Understanding of Compliance Due Diligence and AntiMoney Laundering Acts as well as standard banking procedures
    • General understanding of legal structures (Offshore Trusts)
