Accountant

As an Accountant at Joseph Group you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records analyzing financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will contribute to the overall success of the organization by providing timely and insightful financial information to support decisionmaking processes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daytoday accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
  
• Prepare and analyze financial statements balance sheets and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  
• Perform monthend and yearend close processes including reconciliations and adjustments.
  
• Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial reports for management review.
  
• Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost optimization and process improvement.
  
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation expenses.
  
• Assist with tax compliance and liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
  
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support business initiatives and projects.
  
• Provide adhoc financial analysis and reports as required.
  

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field. CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role preferably in a corporate environment.
  
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite particularly Excel.
  
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Integrity and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in financial practices.
  
• Experience with Zoho Recruit or similar applicant tracking systems is a plus.
