Precise Technical Staffings client is seeking a Director of Information Technology to oversee the companys technology infrastructure and services with a focus on accomplishing business objectives, reducing security threats, enhancing user satisfaction, and preserving system operations. What you will be doing:

• Provisioning, maintaining, transitioning and decommissioning of IT services
  
• Managing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting
  
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with IT vendors
  
• Implementing standards such as NIST, ITAR, CMMC, etc. to fulfill government contract requirements
  
• Supporting a mixed technology environment including Windows/Mac/Linux and diverse user competencies
  
• Mitigating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions to enhance data security
  
• Assessing business requirements of departments to determine their technology needs
  
• Ensuring data availability and network services with minimal downtime through coordination of IT activities
  
• Identifying the requirement for upgrades, configurations, or new systems
  
• Collaborating with staff and engineering departments as necessary
  
• Establishing and enforcing IT policies and systems to support upper managements strategies
  
• Expertise in managing user application permissions via LDAP/AD
  
• Maintaining documentation and functional redundancy, as well as disaster planning
  
• Encouraging a positive and cooperative relationship between IT personnel and all IT customers (business users, contractors, suppliers) to facilitate open communication and high levels of cooperation.

Requirements

What do you need to bring to the table:

• Ability to obtain a security clearance
  
• Minimum of 10 years in IT Management
  
• Skilled in database administration (MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB, etc.)
  
• Strong background in cybersecurity, familiar with NIST 800-171 DFARS compliance, and has experience implementing Information Security Programs.
  
• Familiarity with Linux development and operational environments
  
• Experienced with embedded networks with high-throughput and remote internet access
  
• In-depth understanding of technology theories and applications
  
• Keen to stay updated with technological advancements and trends
  
• Proficient in working in an engineering-focused company and managing engineering development services and databases (Altium, Gitlab, SolidWorks, Docker, etc.)
  
• Technical support for desktop users on Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
  
• Expertise in supporting Windows, Ubuntu, and RHEL servers in an ESXi cluster
  
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and ability to make small infrastructure upgrades
  
• Experience in securing and auditing a small information system
  
• Knowledgeable in Radius and enterprise-level Wi-Fi
  
• Experience supporting enterprise-shared resources such as printers and plotters.
