Position: Crane Operator
Location : Abu Dhabi
Salary : 5700 AED
Rotation : 90/30
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes such as mobile tower and overhead cranes to lift and move heavy equipment and materials on oil and gas sites
- Conduct pre-operational checks and inspections of the crane to ensure it is in safe and working condition
- Communicate with site supervisors and other team members to determine the best approach for lifting and moving materials
- Rig and secure loads to the crane using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Monitor and maintain the cranes stability and safe operation during lifting and moving activities
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the job site
- Keep accurate records of crane operations including load weights times and any incidents or issues that may arise
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the crane as needed
- Train and supervise new crane operators as required
Qualifications:
- High secondary diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating cranes in an oil and gas environment
- Valid crane operator certification and license
- Knowledge of crane safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret load charts and blueprints
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Experience operating other heavy equipment such as forklifts and bulldozers is an asset
