Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and a thorough understanding of payroll regulations and best practices. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payments maintaining payroll records and providing support to the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for a large number of employees including calculating wages overtime and deductions.
  • - Ensure accuracy and compliance with local laws and company policies.
  • - Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system.
  • - Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors.
  • - Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
  • - Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
  • - Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires terminations and changes to employee information.
  • - Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance.
  • - Assist with year-end processes and reporting including W-2s and 1099s.
  • - Participate in payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • - Continuously review and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • - Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • - 5 years of experience in payroll processing preferably in a large organization.
  • - Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices.
  • - Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • - Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • - Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
  • - Experience with UAE payroll regulations is a plus.
