As the Duty Manager at Villa Haven you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Front Office team including scheduling training and performance evaluation
- Overseeing guest check-in and check-out processes ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Handling guest enquiries complaints and special requests promptly and professionally
- Monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the resort
- Coordinating with other departments (e.g. Housekeeping Maintenance F&B) to ensure seamless guest service
- Managing room inventory and maximising occupancy rates
- Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols
- Handling cash credit card transactions and daily financial reconciliations
- Preparing daily reports on occupancy revenue and guest feedback
- Conducting regular property walks to identify and address any maintenance or security issues
- Managing crisis situations and emergency procedures when required
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws regulations and company policies
- Identifying opportunities for service improvements and implementing new initiatives
- Representing the resort in a professional manner at all times embodying our brand values and ethos
This role requires a high level of flexibility as you will be working on a shift basis including evenings weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry preferably in a luxury resort or hotel.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Proficient knowledge of property management systems (PMS) and guest service software with experience in Opera PMS preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays and adapt to changing business needs.
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Fluency in English and Russian; additional languages are a plus particularly Arabic.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management forecasting and revenue optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in a luxury hospitality environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and delegate effectively.
- Proven track record of implementing and improving standard operating procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and emergency procedures in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with hotel-specific software applications.
- Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to handle guest complaints and difficult situations diplomatically.
- Certification in hospitality management or related field (e.g. HOSPA HCIMA) is desirable.
