Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced South Indian Chef specializing in traditional and contemporary dishes
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hot dishes such as sauces soups main courses and accompaniments according to menu specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in mise en place portioning ingredients and assembly of menu items for service within the hot kitchen section.
- Support Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in the efficient running of kitchen operations.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety sanitation and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly; report defects or hazards as required.
- Keep workstations hot kitchen areas equipment and storage areas clean organised and presentable.
- Adhere to recipe guidelines portion control measures and wastage minimisation policies.
- Participate in kitchen training daily briefings and development sessions as directed by senior management.
- Assist with stock rotation labelling and day-to-day inventory management for hot kitchen ingredients.
Required Skills & Experience Hot Kitchen Culinary Recruitment
- Minimum1-2 years experience in a hot kitchen environment ideally within high-end hotels restaurants or private residences.
- Strong foundation in basic cooking techniques such as sautéing roasting grilling and boiling.
- Understanding of kitchen safety HACCP procedures and allergen awareness.
- Keen attention to detail excellent organisational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced multicultural team environment.
- Flexible professional attitude with a willingness to work shifts weekends and public holidays as required.
- Good spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage.
