Chef De Partie Key Responsibilities Professional Kitchen Team
- Oversee a specific section of the kitchen ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of dishes in line with the restaurants standards.
- Follow and enforce kitchen recipes portion control and plating specifications for all menu items.
- Maintain food safety cleanliness and hygiene at all workstations according to HACCP and health and safety policies.
- Monitor daily food preparation and support the smooth running of service assisting colleagues as required.
- Manage stock levels and wastage within your section ensuring efficient storage and inventory usage.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen colleagues and front-of-house teams to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Train and supervise junior staff sharing best practices and supporting their skills development.
- Adapt to changing priorities during busy periods and help with other kitchen sections if required.
- Ensure cleaning schedules are upheld and all kitchen areas remain organised and safe at all times.
Experience & Skills Required for Chef De Partie Positions
- Previous experience working as a Chef De Partie Junior Sous Chef or similar role in a busy professional kitchen.
