BIM Lead – Structures

EGIS is seeking a highly skilled Structures BIM Lead with a strong automation scripting programming and parametric model to join our team in Dubai United Arab this role you will lead the structural BIM of complex projects i.e. bridges tunnels civil structures viaducts and other linear & vertical structures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the model is built in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project standards.
• Implement Automation and other digital disruption tools in modelling complex structures.
• Lead and manage the implementation of BIM processes across project stages from concept to handover.
• Generate and manage intelligent 3D models and extract 2D deliverables from the BIM model including plans sections elevations and details.
• Manage and oversee the development and maintenance of the discipline-specific BIM model.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models ensuring timely updates and clash-free deliverables.
• Ensure model health compliance and quality by conducting regular audits and reviews.
• Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline BIM model information presentation and coordination
• Coordinate internally with the disciplines design team to ensure accurate representation of design intent in the model.
• Ensure drawings are extracted with correct scale view templates and title blocks per company/project standards.
• Support sheet creation annotation workflows and print reviews before submissions.
• Use BIM quality tools to maintain quality.
• support the development and implementation of automation tools and computational design techniques

Qualifications :

• Minimum 8 years of experience in digital development and BIM best practice.
• Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering
• Expert in Revit modelling and interoperability between Revit and other discipline-specific software programs and tools i.e. Grasshopper Rhino Dynamo and other script based tools
• Project set-up experience including the CDE design models.
• Stay updated with the latest digital tools and technologies relevant to building services and incorporate them into the projects practices & workflows.
• General understanding of procedures company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Viewed as competent in all areas. Highest non-supervisory position.
• Oversee work of junior-level technicians. Viewed as competent in all areas.
• BIM Execution Plan LOD and other BIM related documents.
• Perform model checks; ensure compliance with general and project specific BIM standards are met on all BIM projects.
• Work with project teams to coordinate model set up drawing packages model coordination and any other project requirements.
• Good understanding of Revit API Dynamo. Grasshopper Rhino common API parametric modelling.
