ملخص الوظيفة
As the HSE Officer you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Health Safety and Environment aspects of the project. Working collaboratively with the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety are maintained throughout the entire construction period.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures on the construction site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Collaborate with EPC contractors to ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.
- Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential accidents or incidents.
- Conduct HSE training sessions for project personnel and contractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture by fostering awareness and understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
- Investigate accidents incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of all incidents and their resolutions.
- Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to project management.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections audits and training sessions.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant HSE legislation and standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities and conduct necessary permitting activities.
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures and coordinate drills.
- Liaise with local emergency services to ensure a rapid and effective response in case of emergencies.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety Environmental Science or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an HSE Officer in large-scale construction projects (CCGT) in the energy sector or EPC peojects.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications in HSE (e.g. NEBOSH OSHA) are highly desirable.
