Purpose of the Job:
- Develop and enhance the reliability and asset performance of critical Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) assets
- Minimize unplanned downtime improve equipment availability and optimize lifecycle performance
- Support safe compliant and cost-effective plant operations through data-driven reliability engineering
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and continuously improve reliability strategies for critical STP assets
- Monitor and analyze reliability KPIs (MTBF MTTR availability failure trends)
- Conduct FMEA RCM studies and lead RCA for major and recurring failures
- Identify chronic equipment issues (bad actors) and implement improvement plans
- Analyze CMMS/EAM data to identify trends and support decision-making
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate reliability performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support predictive maintenance techniques
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to optimize maintenance plans and job frequencies
- Support commissioning modifications and upgrades with embedded reliability considerations
- Ensure compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements
Key Qualifications:
- BSc in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation or related discipline)
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and methodologies (FMEA RCM RCA)
- Experience working with CMMS/EAM systems and reliability KPIs
- Strong data analysis problem-solving and reporting skills
- Experience in STPs water treatment plants utilities or continuous-process environments
- Knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance in wastewater operations
- Exposure to digital tools dashboards and maintenance analytics
- Professional certifications (CMRP CAMA or equivalent) are an advantage
