Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about precision engineering We are seeking a motivated and reliable CNC Operator to join our growing team. As a CNC Operator you will play a key role in producing high-quality components for the automotive and engineering sectors ensuring operational efficiency accuracy and safety at every stage.
Key Responsibilities CNC Machine Operation & Manufacturing Precision
- Set up operate and monitor CNC machines to produce components to exacting specifications maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and technical diagrams to define machining requirements and part dimensions.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on CNC machinery and equipment ensuring safe work practices are always followed.
- Inspect and measure finished parts using precision measuring tools recording and reporting deviations from specifications where necessary.
- Adjust machine settings tooling and offsets as required to optimise production output and achieve engineering tolerances.
Required Skills CNC Machining Manufacturing & Engineering
- Previous experience operating CNC machines within manufacturing engineering or automotive environments is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings geometric tolerances and machining principles.
- Competence in using measuring tools such as callipers micrometers and gauges for part inspection.
- Ability to identify troubleshoot and resolve routine machine and process issues independently.
- Basic knowledge of machine programming (e.g. G-code) or willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Effective communication skills for working in a team-based environment.
Qualifications & Experience CNC Operator Role
- Relevant vocational qualification (e.g. NVQ City & Guilds BTEC) in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with CNC lathes mills or multi-axis machines is an advantage.
- Strong record of safe working practices and adherence to workplace health and safety standards.
