The Waiter / Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests in the hotels restaurants lounges or banquet areas. The role ensures that food and beverage orders are served accurately promptly and courteously maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests courteously presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar promptly.
Serve food and drinks in accordance with hotel service standards.
Check guest satisfaction during service and promptly address any concerns or requests.
Clear tables reset them for the next guests and ensure cleanliness in the dining area.
Handle billing procedures present checks and process payments efficiently.
Maintain knowledge of menu items ingredients and preparation methods to assist guests with inquiries or dietary needs.
Follow hygiene and sanitation standards including personal grooming and uniform compliance.
Assist with buffet setups room service orders or banquet functions when required.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
Support team members and contribute to a positive guest experience at all times.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (Hospitality qualification preferred).
1 years of experience in a hotel restaurant or fine dining environment an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures.
Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
