Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a results-driven and experienced M&M Operations Manager to oversee our operational activities in the Middle East based in the UAE.
This pivotal role is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor productivity quality control and safety measures within the Operations Department. You will be key in enhancing operational procedures systems and principles in areas like information flow business processes and management reporting. Your responsibilities will span across four main areas: providing technical support both on and off-site at locations like mines and refineries managing AHK teams consumables and tools ensuring excellent client-relations management and managing performance systems.
This role is ideal for a professional with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a technical Mining & Metals background who possesses the ability to inspire confidence and engage people. Fluency in English is required with Arabic being an advantage.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES
The ideal candidate for the M&M Operations Manager role will be a dynamic hands-on leader who can drive efficiency and maintain high standards across all operations in the UAE.
You are the right person if you are:
- A proven leader with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a strong technical Mining & Metals background preferably in the international commodity inspection industry.
- Able to inspire confidence and effectively engage people across various teams.
- Highly diligent with exceptional attention to detail to ensure quality control adherence to safety measures and successful management of labor and productivity.
- An excellent communicator capable of developing strong relationships with both teams and clients.
- Experienced in tasks such as interviewing hiring training and managing performance appraisals and corrective action plans for employees.
- A strategic thinker who can draft plans for Audits and team evaluations formulate strategic and operational objectives for teams and draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures and Site Instruction Forms for work on site.
- Proficient with modern tools possessing sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google suite applications.
- Committed to health and safety ensuring protocols are adhered to and correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used by staff.
Required Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with a technical background.
- Previous experience in commodity inspection (preferably international) is a plus.
Required Languages
- English is required Arabic is advantageous.

- Some travel domestically and internationally may be required
