What will you do
As a Design Leader Controls you will lead and coach engineering teams within the Controls division ensuring they deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet regional procedures international standards legal requirements and customer expectations. You will foster a collaborative and motivating work environment manage resources effectively and ensure the successful delivery of Post Sales Engineering outputs. You will also be responsible for monitoring task execution resolving technical challenges and maintaining alignment with Johnson Controls engineering norms.
How you will do it
- Provide clear direction using structured engineering tools processes and defined responsibilities
- Encourage open communication and recognize team achievements
- Keep the team informed about company goals and changes
- Conduct regular coaching sessions and team meetings
- Guide competence development through training and feedback
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party engineering teams
- Approve or delegate complex designs as needed
- Engage external resources when local capacity is limited
- Oversee planning progress risks and quality of engineering tasks
- Contribute to certification documentation and standardization efforts

Preferred
- Experience leading technical teams in an international environment
- Familiarity with engineering methodologies (e.g. V-model)
- Competencies in prioritization negotiation conflict management and customer orientation
- Flexibility teamwork and contribution to process and tool standardization
