The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the setup operation and maintenance of audio visual lighting and multimedia systems across the resort. From conferences and weddings to entertainment shows and lifestyle activations the AV Technician ensures all technical elements run smoothly and in line with SO/s creative and stylish standards.
Key Responsibilities
Event Operations
- Set up operate and dismantle AV equipment for meetings events and entertainment shows.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during events.
- Ensure smooth execution of presentations performances and guest experiences.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Conduct regular checks testing and preventive maintenance of AV systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio video and lighting issues quickly.
- Ensure safe handling storage and inventory control of all AV equipment.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Events Entertainment and Recreation teams to support creative event concepts.
- Assist the AV Supervisor and Manager with technical logistics.
- Communicate effectively with clients performers and colleagues to deliver seamless service.
Health Safety & Compliance
- Follow safety standards and procedures for installation and operation of AV and stage equipment.
- Report hazards equipment faults or incidents promptly.
Qualifications :
- Diploma certification or technical training in Audio Visual Technology or related field.
- 12 years of hands-on AV experience preferably in hotels resorts or event venues.
- Solid knowledge of sound systems video projection lighting and multimedia equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Flexible to work evenings weekends and holidays.
