Engineer Highways

We are seeking a talented and innovative Engineer - Highways to join our dynamic team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department you will contribute to the design development and implementation of cutting-edge highway projects in one of the worlds most rapidly evolving urban landscapes.

• Develop and review highway design plans specifications and cost estimates for various projects
• Utilize advanced engineering software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to create detailed designs and 3D models
• Conduct feasibility studies and traffic impact assessments for proposed highway projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery
• Perform complex engineering calculations and analyses related to highway geometry drainage and pavement design
• Ensure compliance with local and international highway design standards and regulations
• Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality
• Prepare technical reports presentations and other project documentation
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable transportation infrastructure
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and tender documents for new projects
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in highway engineering and implement best practices

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus on highway engineering
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in highway design and engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design software
• Strong knowledge of highway engineering principles including geometric design pavement design and drainage systems
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processes
• Experience with traffic modeling and analysis software
• In-depth understanding of local UAE highway design standards and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to effectively present technical information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of independent work
• Innovative mindset with a passion for developing sustainable transportation solutions
• Willingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g. UAE Society of Engineers)
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
