Whats the role
The Head of EHSQ (Environmental Health Safety and Quality) at PXGEO will lead the development and implementation of the companys EHSQ strategy ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across all operations. This pivotal role is responsible for guiding the EHSQ team and ensuring that all projects adhere to established standards for safety environmental performance and quality assurance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHSQ policies standards and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment while minimizing environmental impact.
- Lead the EHSQ and Maritime team providing guidance and oversight for effective execution of EHSQ programs across all operational sites.
- Ensure the organization is compliant with local and international regulations relating to EHSQ.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments reporting findings and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management and project teams to integrate EHSQ considerations into overall business strategies and project planning.
- Foster relationships with regulatory authorities industry bodies and other stakeholders to represent the companys interests related to EHSQ matters.
- Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and analyze EHSQ performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are educated on EHSQ policies and procedures.
- Stay current on EHSQ trends and initiatives ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
Who are we looking for
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHSQ management preferably within the oil and gas or marine industries.
- Deep understanding of local and international EHSQ regulations standards (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001 ISO 9001) and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving a proactive safety culture and embedding quality excellence across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to engage educate and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Adept at crisis communication and leading through high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
