Apt Resources is currently seeking a detailoriented and skilled Portuguese Speaking Purchaser to join the procurement team of a leading Food Stuff Trading Company. This role is integral to the companys success in sourcing highquality fastmoving consumer goods (FMCG) to meet customer demands effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and an extensive background in procurement particularly in the food sector.
Responsibilities
- Identify and maintain relationships with suppliers for FMCG food products.
- Negotiate purchasing agreements pricing and terms with suppliers.
- Monitor market trends and assess supplier performance.
- Ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply chain issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate procurement records including purchase orders and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to align purchasing strategies with operational needs.
- Contribute to product selection and development initiatives to enhance the product portfolio.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Purchaser in the FMCG sector with a focus on food products.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office and procurement software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
