Job Purpose
The Fleet Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation maintenance and availability of the companys fleet. This role focuses on minimizing vehicle downtime coordinating repairs managing vendors and maintaining accurate service records. By ensuring the fleet is efficiently maintained the position supports operational excellence enhances customer satisfaction and strengthens the companys overall reputation.
Duties and responsibilities of this position
- Conduct periodic inspections of vehicles for damages tire conditions and overall performance.
- Plan and schedule regular vehicle maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
- Coordinate with garages workshops and service centers for repairs and servicing.
- Prepare and maintain police reports and accident records.
- Liaise with insurance companies for claims total loss cases and settlements.
- Maintain complete records of vehicle history service schedules and maintenance costs.
- Manage relationships with vendors panel garages and spare parts suppliers.
- Negotiate cost-effective maintenance agreements and ensure quality service.
- Monitor fleet tracking systems mileage and vehicle utilization.
- Track and report KPIs including downtime maintenance costs and fleet availability.
- Manage fleet-related budgets and petty cash disbursements.
- Collaborate with Sales Finance and Recovery teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise and guide drivers ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Conduct periodic training sessions on vehicle care damage reporting and operational protocols.

Position Qualifications (Academic & Professional)
- Bachelors degree in automotive engineering logistics business administration or a related field (preferred)
- 1 to 2 years of experience in car rental operations or fleet management
- Technical background as a mechanic or automotive technician is an added advantage
- Knowledge of UAE traffic regulations RTA policies and insurance procedures
- Proficiency in fleet tracking systems and vehicle monitoring tools (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Valid UAE driving license
