To lead and manage all project controls functions including planning scheduling cost control risk management and reporting to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget on time and to quality standards. The Project Controls Manager plays a key role in supporting project execution and strategic decision-making.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
- Oversee baseline schedule development progress updates critical path analysis and earned value reporting.
- Ensure proper schedule risk assessments and mitigation plans.
- Prepare and manage project budgets forecasts and cost reports.
- Monitor expenditures cash flow and financial performance.
- Analyze cost trends and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Prepare regular project status reports dashboards and KPI summaries for senior management and clients.
- Develop and maintain project control procedures and ensure consistent application across projects.
- Manage change control and variation tracking.
- Implement and maintain project risk registers.
- Support identification and evaluation of project risks and opportunities.
- Track and manage change orders trends and impacts to schedule/cost.
- Lead a team of planners cost engineers and project control analysts.
- Coordinate closely with project managers engineering procurement construction and finance teams.
- Interface with clients on progress cost and schedule reporting.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 15-18 years of experience in project controls with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of project control tools: Primavera P6 Cost Control Systems (e.g. SAP EcoSys).
- Experience in large-scale EPC/PMC projects preferably in oil & gas petrochemicals or energy sectors.
- Solid understanding of project management principles (PMBOK) earned value management and FIDIC/contractual frameworks.
- Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional)
- Primavera P6 Professional Certification
- Experience with ADNOC or other NOC/IOC clients is a strong advantage.
