We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fiber Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for installing testing and maintaining fiber optic systems to ensure reliable high-speed internet and communication services. You will work in residential commercial and industrial environments providing top-quality service and customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities:

Install and terminate fiber optic cables (FTTH FTTP FTTB etc.)

Test and troubleshoot fiber networks using OTDRs power meters and other diagnostic equipment

Interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings
-
Splice fiber optic cables and enclosures in aerial and underground settings
-
Ensure all installations meet industry standards and safety regulations
-
Communicate effectively with customers team members and supervisors

Maintain accurate documentation of installation testing and repair activities

Provide technical support during service outages or system upgrades
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or related field preferred

13 years of experience in fiber optic installation or similar role
-
Familiarity with fiber optic tools and equipment (fusion splicer OTDR etc.)

Strong understanding of networking principles and fiber technology
-
Valid drivers license with clean driving record

Ability to lift and carry equipment work in confined spaces and at heights

Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Preferred Skills:
-
Certifications such as FOA CFOT or equivalent
-
Experience with aerial or underground fiber deployments
-
Knowledge of local/state regulations related to telecom installation
