The ideal candidate is a passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who is committed to the success of our customers. You will focus on growing and developing existing clients, as well as generating new business by identifying, implementing, and executing new strategies.

Country Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement Alissar’s policies and procedures to ensure that company standards are met at all times
  • Build a strong relationship with the client to fully understand their needs
  • Enhance the relationship with all hotels staff for more business; events bookings from the concierge and events teams
  • Monitor client satisfaction level and follow up on their feedback & complaints
  • Present & sell the Banquet and Concierge Albums, Events, Christmas, Ramadan and special occasions to the concerned teams in the hotel in order to increase the revenue flow
  • Expand the company’s market share throughout the country by promoting and selling floral designs and event packages to hotels and corporate
  • Visit accounts daily to ensure proper delivery of orders, check all locations for freshness and design standards, and provide feedback to the florists immediately
  • Checking the flowers and making sure they look fresh and have fresh water. Make sure that hotels have fresh flowers every day
  • Ensure flower Room setup, housekeeping, safety and hygienic according to company’s standards
  • Ensure profitability of accounts within target margins.
  • Prepare & manage the fixed & variable packages with assistance with business support team. All issues related to contract and its renewal and financial package during the year
  • Work closely working with the creative design team to ensure meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations.
  • Ensure all events are ready and prepared and plan all plans and activities to make sure smooth operations.
  • Work on seasonal occasions, with all stages planning, ordering items, expenses, installation, dismantling and closing of project
  • Check and approve weekly and monthly invoices, summary of invoices and monthly sales report.
  • Ensure invoices are issued on time and payments are obtained.
  • Control all stock and flower purchases in coordination with stock controller and procurement officer
  • Manage stock level for living, nonliving and consumables
  • Control weekly order of flowers & plants and check all the flowers in stock are fresh and being used before they die to manage waste
  • Ensure all events are ready and prepared and plan all plans and activities to make sure smooth operations.
  • Attend weekly meeting with all concerned colleagues, business support & design team in order to discuss issues, ideas, suggestions, packages, events etc.
  • Ensure that all relevant reports are submitted to the direct manager.
  • Coach, train and engage a team of florists to ensure maximum engagement and productivity.
  • Ensure team is complying with grooming standards
  • Manage schedules and vacations in accordance with the operational needs.
  • Lead one on one meetings with the team to go over their needs and solve any daily issues that may arise.
  • Answering through emails any request and working closely with the design team to ensure clients are satisfied.

Requirements

Country Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or any other related field.
  • 5+ Years’ experience especially in the hospitality business with luxury hotels and resorts.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Market Knowledge: Consumer behavior and consumer segments, Distribution channels, Local Culture. Work environment: field job “outdoor customer’s visits”
  • Holding Kuwait Driving Licenses
