Head Of Strategy

Your Responsibilities

• Defines objectives, frameworks, and metrics for the IT strategic planning process and establishes ownership and timelines for key planning steps
• Leads and manages the creation or review of an IT strategy which aligns with enterprise strategy
• Conducts meetings with senior IT leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to validate IT’s understanding of business goals and effectively communicate the IT strategy
• Establishes and manages effective relationships between business partners and IT leaders
• Supports the Chief Information Officer in the development and implementation of the Groups IT strategic plans based on the needs and ambitions of the company
• Works with business unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and day-to-day operational activities
• Works with the enterprise architecture function to ensure alignment between enterprise architectural roadmaps, business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and compliance standards
• Ensures continuous alignment of project investments and initiatives with business strategy based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies
• Oversees the development of appropriate governance frameworks and mechanisms for effective risk management
• Reviews management processes (and decisions) to ensure compliance with the organization's strategy for corporate governance of information.
• Influences sourcing strategy and ensures effective management of vendors and sourcing relationships
• Oversees IT budgeting and cost estimation approaches, resource allocation, and reallocation for cost optimization.
• Implement “Best in Class” Project Management methodology, project portfolio management and demand management.

Your Qualifications

• A university degree related to Information Technology. A master’s degree in a business system related subject area would be desirable.
• TOGAF, COBIT, CGEIT or a similar qualification associated with IT strategy, governance and service in the corporate environment
• A qualification in a leading project management methodology (e.g. PMI or PRINCE2)
• Stakeholder Management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
• Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
• Expert in IT strategic planning, communications, and financial management
• Expert in IT governance formulation and organizational change management
• Proven track record of successful team leadership and development
• Proven track record of innovation, both in internal problem solving and in fostering innovative uses of technology in the organization
