Defines objectives, frameworks, and metrics for the IT strategic planning process and establishes ownership and timelines for key planning steps
Leads and manages the creation or review of an IT strategy which aligns with enterprise strategy
Conducts meetings with senior IT leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to validate IT’s understanding of business goals and effectively communicate the IT strategy
Establishes and manages effective relationships between business partners and IT leaders
Supports the Chief Information Officer in the development and implementation of the Groups IT strategic plans based on the needs and ambitions of the company
Works with business unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and day-to-day operational activities
Works with the enterprise architecture function to ensure alignment between enterprise architectural roadmaps, business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and compliance standards
Ensures continuous alignment of project investments and initiatives with business strategy based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies
Oversees the development of appropriate governance frameworks and mechanisms for effective risk management
Reviews management processes (and decisions) to ensure compliance with the organization's strategy for corporate governance of information.
Influences sourcing strategy and ensures effective management of vendors and sourcing relationships
Oversees IT budgeting and cost estimation approaches, resource allocation, and reallocation for cost optimization.
Implement “Best in Class” Project Management methodology, project portfolio management and demand management.
Your Qualifications
A university degree related to Information Technology. A master’s degree in a business system related subject area would be desirable.
TOGAF, COBIT, CGEIT or a similar qualification associated with IT strategy, governance and service in the corporate environment
A qualification in a leading project management methodology (e.g. PMI or PRINCE2)
Stakeholder Management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
Expert in IT strategic planning, communications, and financial management
Expert in IT governance formulation and organizational change management
Proven track record of successful team leadership and development
Proven track record of innovation, both in internal problem solving and in fostering innovative uses of technology in the organization
