Assistant Security Manager

As a Assistant Security Manager, you will lead your team to create great working environment in the hotel in coordination with the other Head of Departments and General Manager. You will ensure the safety of Guests, Team Members and Hotel property through a professional and efficient daily operation. The service must be sincere, warm and with enthusiastic ensuring that all guests have quality security and safety systems available to them. Sets an example in regards to punctuality, appearance, courtesy, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relationship, observance of the house rules, loyalty to Management and inter-department cooperation. You should take the time to get to know the guests and be committed to service excellence, promote feedback with the team and anticipate the guest s needs and be committed to service excellence. Being entrepreneurial and thinking beyond the boundaries are expected and not requested. You will be in charge of developing security measures and assuring the overall security of all guest and employees in the hotel.

What you will be doing:
• Adhere to the M venpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach Residence grooming and appearance standards.
• Liaise and with Management as well as employees and assist with security problems and loss control.
• Develop ideas on increasing guest satisfaction.
• Develop fire, emergency & evacuation guidelines, train team members on the guidelines and take ownership for regular fire drills.
• Show full cooperation and respect both within the team and other departments.
• Handles complaints effectively and ensure issues are followed up with both internal and external guests.
• Planning and budgeting of Security expenditures for the Hotel, including business cases for justification of investments and expenditures to support the approval process.
• Provides regular security reports to the General Manager.
• Providing optimum levels of quality, personable service.
• Training of Security employees in all regulations and factors affecting the operations of the Hotel e.g. Fire prevention and safety procedures, basic firefighting, preservation of crime scene and evidence, actions, duties and powers where crime is detected, action in crisis situations and report writing.
• Directly work with all employees to create a flow of new and improved ideas
• Ensure awareness and deliver the optimum levels of service and guest satisfaction
• Initiate and manage Security projects, consulting the Rooms Division Manager on Security strategy.
• Ensure Fire Safety, Emergency and Evacuation handbooks and manuals are up to date and available to the team
• Ensure that all Lost & Found items are registered, stored and handled in accordance with the policy.
• Ensure the security team log and handle all incidents, guest complaints or queries confidently and professionally.
• Coach and counsel all security officers to ensure they are developed professionally.
