Specialist Back End Architect

We are looking for an amazing individual to join our dynamic team as Lead Back End Architecture to drive the development of cuttingedge solutions and shape the future of our products. You will lead and mentor the BackEnd team serving as both a strategic and technical leader to ensure the delivery of highquality solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of BackEnd architectures and technologies strong technical skills and proven leadership experience. You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including designers product managers and developers to deliver a seamless and engaging app experience. This role reports to the SVP Platform and is based in Dubai.

• Mentor and guide backend developers fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Lead the development and maintenance of our consumer app backend including handson coding code reviews and troubleshooting to ensure the timely delivery of highquality software solutions.
• Design and develop scalable robust and highly efficient software systems that meet the strategic objectives of the business.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in software engineering including agile development automated testing continuous integration and SRE (monitoring observability logging).
• Focus on optimizing software performance through innovative coding practices and solutions ensuring high efficiency and responsiveness of the systems.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance the responsiveness and efficiency of the platform.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends technologies and best practices in backend development and architecture designs.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues providing timely resolutions.
• Participate in the entire app lifecycle from concept and design to testing and release.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including specifications and development guidelines.

Qualifications :

Essential:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Proven experience 5 years minimum) working as a Lead Back End Architecture or similar role preferably in the development of mission critical systems or financial applications.
• Strong architectural and system design skills in technologies such as microservices distributed systems cloud computing event driven systems and REST API design.
• Strong expertise with datastores of any kind (RDBMS NoSQL KeyValue Queue Management)
• Strong handson expertise in back end development especially technologies such as Go or Kafka
• Experience with Cloud technologies orchestration (K8s Docker) CI/CD automated testing and other DevOps tools and methodologies
• Experience working with datastores of any kind (RDBMS NoSQL KeyValue Queue Management
• Proven track record of delivering successfully largescale critical software projects.
• Strong proficiency in writing clean maintainable and efficient code.
• Ability to look at the bigger picture and create a scalable backend architecture.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality solutions.
• Strong focus on security and application performance.
• Data driven with a solid experience measuring performance of the applications (observability)
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience working on a B2C application is a strong plus
• Familiarity with trading or financial applications and their specific requirements
