Consultz is supporting our client a well renowned holding company in the region in their search for an Internal Audit professional with a strong Data Analytics expertise.
Role Purpose
Lead the development and execution of data analytics and continuous auditing initiatives within the Internal Audit (IA) function across the company portfolio. Drive the transformation of audit processes through datadriven insights automation and innovative technologies including generative AI.
Core Responsibilities
Risk Assessment & Planning:
- Contribute to the identification and analysis of risks across the company portfolio.
- Develop and execute the annual audit analytics plan for each portfolio entity.
Analytics & Continuous Auditing Program:
- Lead the IA analytics and continuous auditing program ensuring secure data extraction cleansing validation and transformation.
- Generate actionable business insights and control exceptions to support IA strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain automated IA analytics solutions.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Assist in preparing the annual budget for IA analytics and continuous control monitoring.
- Optimize resource allocation for datadriven audit activities.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IA and IT management across portfolio entities.
- Ensure IA is informed of changes in business activities and objectives.
Control Optimization & Automation:
- Identify key controls and develop continuous auditing strategies to enhance control effectiveness.
- Transition from traditional audit procedures to continuous control monitoring.
- Utilize data analytics tools (Python Power BI SQL etc.) to identify exceptions and support automation.
Generative AI & Innovation:
- Define and implement generative AI solutions to transform audit processes and enhance team productivity.
- Evaluate and advise on emerging trends and technologies in audit analytics.
Business Process & Data Flow Analysis:
- Document critical business processes and data flows within IT systems.
- Identify risk exposures and develop automated audit analytics solutions.
Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) Implementation:
- Lead the rollout of CCM systems across portfolio companies.
- Monitor and report on controls related to various business functions (e.g. SOD Procurement HR Finance).
Reporting & Dashboards:
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g. Power BI) for automated dynamic IA reporting.
- Deliver timely highquality audit analytics exception reports.
Systems & Data Expertise:
- Provide expert guidance on IA systems data analytics and continuous control auditing.
- Maintain current knowledge of business processes rules and controls.
- Utilize Microsoft Power platform to provide IA solutions.
Data Analytic Support:
- Provide data analytic support during audits to ensure full data population analysis.
- Monitor continuous auditing adoptions across the organization.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Mathematics Information Systems Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence.
- Alteryx Designer Expert/Predictive Master
- Tableau Certified Data Analyst
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate/Power BI Data Analyst
- ACL Certified Data Analyst (ACDA)
Experience
- 10 years of experience in data analytics or continuous auditing ideally within industries such as energy healthcare finance or logistics.
- Experience with Machine learning and Generative AI.
