- Ensures that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are prepared covering the safe erection and dismantling sequence. Ensures that RAMS are reviewed with regards to HSE requirements and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS
- Is responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under their control and for stopping work where this might be compromised
- Ensures works within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with the contract and conform with project time and budget requirements
- Coordinates all temporary works activities
- Ensures that various responsibilities have been allocated and accepted (e. g. designers design checkers erectors site supervisors)
- Ensures that risks identified at design stage as well as assumed construction methods and loading constraints are incorporated into the temporary works design brief
- Ensures that the temporary works design is satisfactory
- Ensures that a design check is carried out covering concept structural adequacy and compliance with the design brief
- Ensures the design is made available to relevant parties
- Registers or records all drawings calculation and other relevant documents relating to the final design
- Ensures that those responsible for onsite supervision receive full details of the design including any limitations and guidance notes
- Makes checks at appropriate stages during construction of temporary works
- Ensures that appropriate maintenance is carried out to temporary works (e. g. to facade retention structures)
- After a final erection check issues the permit to load
- Once the permanent works have attained adequate strength issues formal permission to dismantle the temporary works and specifies any relevant sequence
- Ensures the temporary works are dismantled in accordance with a defined procedure
- Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
- Keeps the Site Manager informed of all siterelated activities
Qualifications :
- Relevant academic qualification (e. g. engineering degree HND) or specific relevant experience
- Relevant Temporary Works Coordination training (ECITB or CITB accredited)
- Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
- Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent
- Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC) Safepass (ROI) CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
- Good command of English other languages an advantage
