Chargehand

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chargehand to join our dynamic team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating work crews ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high safety standards on job sites.

• Lead and supervise work crews providing clear direction and guidance to team members
• Coordinate daily work activities assign tasks and monitor progress to meet project deadlines
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies on job sites
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety awareness
• Inspect and maintain tools equipment and work areas for safety and proper functioning
• Resolve onsite issues and make decisions to keep projects moving forward efficiently
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to optimize workflow and resource allocation
• Perform handson work as needed to support team objectives and lead by example
• Maintain accurate records of work performed materials used and team productivity
• Provide regular updates to management on project status challenges and achievements
• Mentor and train team members to develop their skills and improve overall performance
• Ensure the quality of completed work meets or exceeds company standards

Qualifications :

• Proven experience of minimum 8 years as a Chargehand or in a similar supervisory role in construction or industrial settings
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse work crews
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members management and clients
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the workplace
• Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to read and interpret work orders technical documents and project specifications
• Proficiency in using project management tools and software to track progress and manage resources
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspection and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with construction or industrial processes relevant to the job site
• Decisionmaking skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
• Physical stamina to perform handson work and move around job sites as needed
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and schedules
• Goaloriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Familiarity with local work regulations and practices in Dubai and the UAE
