Stantec Middle East is looking to hire a Temporary Accountant to be assigned in our Dubai UAE operations.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Accounts payables
- Recording accounts payable invoices and payments
- Perform supplier reconciliations.
- Tracking accounts payables aging and forecasting payments for cashflow forecasts.
- Perform bank & petty cash reconciliations and postings.
- Accounts receivables
- Preparing and recording intercompany invoices and performing intercompany reconciliations.
- Preparing invoices for Clients based on project requirements and liaising with projects teams.
- Recording cash receipts and preparing a summary for cash forecasting.
- GL accounting
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining schedules for prepayments amortizations leave & gratuity and other accounts.
- Preparing and posting monthend transactions.
- Support the Chief accountant in the preparation of VAT and Tax returns.
- Support the Chief accountant in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Project accounting
- Create and set up projects in Deltek with the work breakdown structure and update monthly based on changes in forecasts.
- Coordinate with the project manager for uptodate project forecasts and EAC
- Create new project codes for bid projects.
Success Criteria
- Must have a Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Must have a minimum of 5 years total experience in Finance or Accounting
- Prior experience in maintaining accounts for multinational businesses and experience in performing monthend transactions.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze numbers and perform complex reconciliations.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze data.
- Understanding the use of power query and power pivot or similar tools is desirable but not essential
- Experience working with Deltek or similar accounting systems is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with a servicebased/consulting business is desirable but not essential.
- Prior experience working for a MiddleEastbased business is desirable.
