The Land Surveyor performs all duties associated with surveying which may include direction and preparation of boundary surveys easements and descriptions.
Job Duties.
- Performing record research construction stakeout and boundary topographic transportation and utility surveys utilizing total stations and data collectors.
- Review information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances directions angles between points and elevation of points lines and contours on above and below the earths surface.
- Plan field work & select known survey reference points.
- Determine the precise location of important features in the survey area.
- Research legal records look for evidence of previous boundaries and analyze the data to determine the location of boundary lines.
- Record the results of surveys and verify accuracy of data.
- Prepare plots maps and reports metes and bounds descriptions.
Qualifications :
Civil Engineering graduate with minimum 7 years experience in land surveying field and setting out of works of similar nature or Diploma holder with minimum 12 years experience in the land surveying field in similar works.
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil Geodetic or related field.)
