We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Instrumentation and Telecom Engineer to oversee the instrumentation and telecom engineering activities onsite for a large oil and gas project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both instrumentation and telecommunications systems with a proven track record of working on ADNOC projects. The Lead Engineer will manage the installation testing and commissioning of critical systems ensuring compliance with project specifications and ADNOC standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the onsite instrumentation and telecom engineering team ensuring all activities comply with project specifications and Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings.
- Review and approve design drawings technical specifications and doentation related to instrumentation and telecom systems ensuring alignment with ADNOC standards.
- Oversee the installation configuration and testing of instrumentation systems (including sensors control systems SCADA) and telecom systems (including fiber optics telecommunication networks and radio systems).
- Trouble and resolve technical issues related to instrumentation and telecom equipment onsite to ensure smooth project .
- Conduct site inspections and reviews to ensure installation meets design standards safety protocols and ADNOC requirements.
- Coordinate with the construction team to ensure timely completion of instrumentation and telecom activities.
- Collaborate closely with project management HSE teams and other engineering disciplines to maintain project safety quality and environmental standards.
- Lead and participate in project meetings such as constructability reviews and technical discussions providing input on instrumentation and telecomrelated matters.
- Ensure the successful closing of engineering punch lists related to instrumentation and telecom systems during commissioning and precommissioning phases.
- Maintain detailed project doentation including progress reports and ist in generating weekly and monthly reports.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Mandatory: Proven experience on ADNOC projects specifically in instrumentation and telecom systems.
- Minimum of 1518 years of experience in instrumentation and telecom engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role on largescale oil & gas or industrial projects.
- Strong expertise in the design installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems control systems and telecom networks.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards as well as relevant codes and industry practices for instrumentation and telecom engineering.
- Proficiency in instrumentation and telecom software tools and systems (e.g. SCADA DCS and telecom networking software).
- Excellent leadership and communication ss with the ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams onsite.
- Strong problemsolving and ytical ss with a handson approach to resolving onsite challenges.
