Baggage Handling Duty Manager

Responsible for service delivery of the baggage handling PLB Bridge Mounted Equipment (BME) Fixed Ground Power Units (FGPU) and Fixed Preconditioned Air Units (FPCA) operations. Ensure that services being provided meet or exceed all regulatory requirements industry standards and best practices and stakeholders expectations in line with corporate policy and within the given budgets. Accountable for safe secure and smooth running of the baggage handling PLB BME FGPU and FPCA operations from customer experience OTP and equipment systems & facilities availability perspectives. A champion for team work provide leadership guidance and support to all relevant stakeholders in the baggage handling and PLB/BME/FGPU/FPCA processes.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor s degree in logistics business administration or a related field is preferred.
  
• Certification in airport operations or aviation management is an advantage.
  

Experience:

• 3 5 years of experience in baggage handling operations logistics or airport operations.
  
• At least 1 2 years of leadership or management experience in a similar environment such as an airport airline or logistics hub.
  
• Familiarity with baggage handling systems (BHS) and automated luggage sorting systems.
  

Skills required. Experience and understanding of value-added sales. (very important) Demonstrate ability to secure and develop new customers. Show initiative and resourcefulness. Ability to handle high tempo and confidence to take decisions. Comfortable with frequent traveling and continuously visiting customers Ability to work independently. Ability to learn on the job and gain strong product knowledge. Confident and skillful in negotiating. Ability to manage reporting and forecasting duties accurately and timely. Work in a structured and effective way Experience required. University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field. Minimum 3 years of sales experience of selling tool steel. Experience from die & mould industry is preferred. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook knowledge required.
