Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality price and reliability.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality delivery or pricing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop strategies to meet those needs effectively.
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to forecast procurement requirements and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions including pricing delivery schedules and payment terms.
- Draft review and manage procurement contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Process purchase orders and ensure that all procurement activities are documented and tracked accurately.
- Monitor order fulfillment and resolve any issues related to discrepancies or delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies industry standards and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process including supplier risks and market volatility.
- Analyze procurement data to identify costsaving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize spending.
- Monitor budgetary constraints and ensure procurement activities remain within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities including supplier information contracts and purchase orders.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to management highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Engineering or a related field. Professional certification (e.g. CIPS PMP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience in the oil and gas industry with a proven track record in managing complex procurement projects and supplier relationships.
- Indepth understanding of procurement processes contract law and industry regulations specific to the oil and gas sector.
- Strong negotiation analytical and problemsolving skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
