Description:
- Designing, routing, testing, and material specifications for natural gas distribution mains of up to 30 inches in diameter
- Utilize AutoCAD and GIS programs regularly while complying with industry codes and standards
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines
- Coordinate with various internal and external departments
- Quality control of drawings, maintaining accuracy of drawing database
- 10-15% of time: travel to field for site inspections throughout life of the project; Support the Field Operations and Construction Operations teams by traveling throughout service territory performing field engineering tasks such as taking measurements, taking notes of equipment, observing project installation and commissioning
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree (MUST HAVE)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Preferred
- At least an internship or up to three years of experience (3 yrs max)
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Desire to work in an environment that's not "heavy engineering," but more collaborative and well-rounded; looking for stabilit
- Must have reliable form of transportation (mileage reimbursed), 10-15% of time traveling to sites for field inspections
