We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Accounts Payable Specialist for our clients finance team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the accounts payable cycle fixed assets management VAT compliance accounts receivable and generating reports using Power BI and Oracle. This role ensures accurate financial records and supports our overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Cycle:
    • Process invoices and payments accurately and timely.
    • Maintain vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Ensure proper documentation and approval for all payments.
  • Fixed Assets Management:
    • Track and manage company fixed assets.
    • Perform periodic reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding fixed assets.
  • VAT Compliance:
    • Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records for VAT reporting and audits.
    • Stay updated with changes in VAT laws and regulations.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Manage customer invoicing and collections.
    • Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers.
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve payment issues.
  • Report Generation:
    • Utilize Power BI to create and maintain financial reports.
    • Generate and analyze financial data using Oracle.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial reports.


Requirements

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • Must be CA/ ACCA/ CPA qualified
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable
  • Strong knowledge in fixed assets VAT and accounts receivable.
  • With Oracle experience
  • Knowledge in ERP systems Power BI and Orbit.
  • Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations.
  • Strong English Communication Skills
  • Must have worked with Tier 1 / Financial Services / Banking Institutions / Government firms
  • Good understanding of Accounting Principles & Standards as per IFRS.
  • Must be locally based in the UAE
  • Must be willing to live and work in Abu Dhabi

To be considered for this role, you have to meet the following criteria: Bachelor's degree in any related field preferred but not a must. Proficiency in administrative applications as well as graphic and presentation software. A minimum of 10 years of experience in general administrative and/or clerical work preferably within the financial services industry. Preferably with experience in assisting a team in Equities and Active Investments department. With impeccable written and verbal communication skills as well as a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Exceptional organizational skills, adeptly managing calendars, appointments, and records. Strong database management abilities, ensuring data integrity and seamless retrieval.
