School Counselor - Knowledge Hub

Job Title: School Counselor Knowledge Hub (Dubai)
Compensation:AED per month

RVP Consultants is seeking a School Counselor for the Knowledge Hub in Dubai. Our Knowledge Hub is an American curriculum onine school accredited by NEASC and licensed by the KHDA. Located in Dubai Knowledge Park our Knowledge Hub offers a blended learning model serving approximately 200 students in grades K12 supported by sitebased Academic Leads and Learning Coaches. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in supporting students' social emotional and behavioral development along with a strong understanding of academic systems and pathways to higher education. This includes the American high school credit system Advanced Placement (AP) as well as US and international university entrance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with online School Counselors and other department heads to design and deliver monthly programs that address students' socialemotional wellbeing and academic skills both virually and inperson.
• Facilitate monthly group sessions on relevant topics and provide individual support to students and parents with input from Department Leads Knowledge Hub Principal and other stakeholders.
• Conduct child safeguarding professional development sessions for faculty and staff.
• Implement and support the Child Safeguarding and Protection policy as necessary.
• Develop and maintain resources accessible to students for independent learning.
• Coordinate transitions for students between academic stages.
• Connect students with external resources when needed.
• Works with students families teachers and other school personnel to effectively address social behavioral academic support and personal problems with an emphasis on preventative and developmental counseling that enhances the student's overall growth and provides them with important life skills.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's support programs.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in psychology or counseling is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a counselor in a school setting.
• Experience with American curriculum particularly High School (creditbased system AP SAT etc.)
• Familiarity with international university entrance requirements for students coming from American curriculum high school into a US university and one or more of the following: Canada UK Europe Australia.
• Prior experience and knowledge of a variety of mental health issues.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations professionally.
• Strong understanding of child development and best practices in supporting student success.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in technology tools commonly used in educational settings.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
