Position: Plant Supervisor

Company Overview:

On behalf of our client a leading building construction company based in Dubai. we are currentlyeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Supervisor to join their team.

About the job

The Plant Supervisor is a member of the Supervisory team. He will ensure the plant equipment and environs are maintained kept clean and are available to support production and shipping operations. He will be required to maintain effective liaison with company resources and external stakeholders and ensure timely communication with senior management (both verbal and written).

The Plant supervisor will be additionally responsible for the safety and effective management of the Labour Accommodation.

Principal Accountabilities:
Health & Safety

• Zero personal involvement in accidents.
• Required to submit Near miss & VFL reports.
• Communication of Health & Safety policies and issues to all subordinates.
• Commit to and achieve policy rules on limits of working hours by employees.
• Report and document all accidents / incidents / Near misses for himself/herself and his/her team.

Environmental Management (Environmental Management Skills)

• Awareness and adherence to statutory regulations and decrees.
• Inspire workforce to understand the importance of a clean and tidy work place.
• Establish routines and monitoring mechanisms to ensure waste is recycled or kept to a minimum.
• Conduct a daily inspection of the plant in accordance with the daily inspection routine.

Raw Material (Material Management Skill)

• Liaise with the Shipping Department to identify raw material requirements.
• Maintain personal involvement where necessary in ordering process.
• Ensure the accurate recording of POL accounts in the reporting formats prescribed by company.

Quality Assurance (Customer Focus Competency)

• Foster a positive attitude to supporting any quality program pursued by company.

Logistics (Materiel Management Skill)

• Maintain accurate and concise records of all major equipment issues.
• Ensure the Plant Store is maintained and regularly stocked.

Interaction (Leading People Driving for Results Managing Improvements through

• Change Competencies)

• Maintain a proactive approach towards interaction between inhouse Departments.
• Proactively initiate/lead/become involved in initiatives to improve organizational performance.
• Liaise with other supervisors to ensure the effective operations and a high level of communication and coordination between work groups.

Repair and Maintenance (Material Management Skill)

• Liaise and interact with Shipping and Maintenance staff to ensure that production units are fit to produce quality products in line with company specifications.
• Ensure the plant is cleaned on a regular basis in accordance with the prescribed routine.
• Monitor and ensure the completion of maintenance and operational logs for all plant equipment.
• Report performance and problems.
  
  

Staff Management (Human Resource Management Skill Leading People Competency)

• Conduct staff/visitor induction as required.
• Maintain staff training competencies and provide additional onjob training as required.
• People Management
• Manage day to day topics for his/her team including Leave Appraisals Coaching through relevant RMG systems such as adrenalin workday etc.

Internal Controls

• Support Operations Manager with the Internal Control topics suggest improvements and test (when required) the processes and controls within his/her own preview.
  

Competition law

• Is aware of competition law and adapts his/her behavior by knowing it.

General

• As required conduct other duties requested by the Operations Manager or his/her delegate to ensure the professional operations of the company.
  
  Requirement :

• 510 years production management experience At 3 years ready mix experience within the GCC
  
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Mechanical Industrial Engineering;
• Professional writing and reading English capacity
  Spoken Arabic Hindi and Urdu
• Relationship Building
• Ability to work in diverse and multicultural environment Teamwork and collaboration

• Time Management
