Finance Manager International Law Firm

We are working with a prestigious international law firm based in Dubai dedicated to providing toptier legal services to their diverse clientele across the GCC region. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. In this role you will oversee the general accounting function of our business ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Furthermore you will manage a team of accountants and will be responsible for the overall financial health of the firm. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VAT audit and corporate taxation with a background in law firms or alternatively consulting/advisory or other professional services firms in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting team ensuring efficient and accurate performance of all financial functions.
  
• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and payroll.
  
• Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
  
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and manage VAT filings and audits.
  
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the firm s assets.
  
• Manage the annual audit process liaising with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  
• Oversee corporate taxation matters and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  
• Develop and monitor financial strategies and performance metrics to achieve business objectives.
  
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decisionmaking.
  
• Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  

Requirements

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
  
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA ACCA) is a plus.
  
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in the UAE.
  
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations audit procedures and corporate taxation.
  
• Proven experience in a law firm or alternatively in consulting/advisory or other professional services firms.
  
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  
• Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational abilities.
  
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite particularly Excel
