Description
- Providing the finance and planning departments with store input for the financial and merchandise planning activities; e.g., new stores, expected sales densities
- Defining store profiles (e.g., by location, customer type, weather) and grouping stores accordingly and defining (statistically) what are the main attributes of profiles in terms of customers, products, customer choices.
- Providing direct link to regions and spending time in discussion with, and on location, with selected stores to solicit and collate feedback from field.
- Providing weekly store-level synthesis of store performance, containing store-level product insights, emerging trends, etc.
- Attending weekly in-season trading meetings to provide store planners and merchandisers with store-level insight
- Coordinating regular collection of feedback from stores (via formal questionnaire) on what is working well
- Providing input into expansion function on their pro-forma new store forecasts as part of new store approval process
- Defining standards, processes and main magnitudes at stores, e.g.:
- Store characteristics (key figures, organization and layout)
- In-store and back office operations
- Storage capacity
- Customer experience areas (e.g., waiting time)
- Breakdown of overall store hours by staff member and activity
- Traffic and staffing levels
- Identifying best practices across stores
- Defining guidelines, based on expertise and best-practices
- Communicating guidelines to stores in an understandable and actionable way, so that the store manager can apply them
Education
Masters in Business Administration
Around 8 Years of Retail experience (preferably Footwear or Garments).
