Job Description:
1. Estimation and Cost Analysis:
- Lead the estimation process for electrical components and systems in electromechanical projects including analyzing project requirements specifications and scope of work.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical materials equipment labor and other projectrelated expenses.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs while ensuring quality and compliance with client requirements.
2. Bid Proposal Preparation:
- Collaborate with sales engineering and project management teams to develop comprehensive bid proposals for electromechanical projects.
- Review bid documents specifications and drawings to identify electrical engineering requirements and develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Present cost estimates and proposals to clients addressing their technical inquiries and negotiating terms as necessary.
3. Technical Expertise:
- Utilize your expertise in electrical engineering principles codes and standards to accurately assess project requirements and develop costeffective solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends technological advancements and best practices in electrical estimation to enhance the competitiveness of proposals.
4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates such as supply chain disruptions market fluctuations and technical complexities.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project risks and ensure successful project execution.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including engineering procurement and finance to gather relevant information and insights for accurate estimations.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to align expectations resolve discrepancies and address challenges throughout the estimation process.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve estimation methodologies tools and processes to enhance accuracy efficiency and consistency.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements based on lessons learned from past projects and industry benchmarks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 810 years of experience in electrical estimation preferably in the electromechanical or construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in estimation software/tools MS Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Indepth knowledge of electrical engineering principles codes standards and practices.
