Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing financial information to management by preparing financial data and reports. The role requires a strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.

The Senior Accountant will be supported by the Accounts & Admin Assistant and the Receptionist.

Qualifications:
Skills and attributes required:
  • Qualified Senior Accountant with 3 years in a similar role is essential.
  • Degree qualification desired. MBA/CMA/ACCA/CPA is an advantage.
  • Strong communication fluent in English both verbal and written with excellent interpersonal skills. Arabic is an advantage.
  • Smart and Presentable.
  • Experience in liaising and assisting at all levels.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and act quickly.
  • Excellent level of computer skills. (Microsoft Outlook Word Excel)
  • Mature approach to dealing with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to learn and retain information within a reasonable time frame.
  • High level of accuracy attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Self motivated and able to work under your own initiative.
  • Reliable with a good time keeping record.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of all journal entries & supporting schedules for periodend closing and posting them into accounting software (Tally/Opera) for the Regional Finance Controllers review/approval.
  • Assisting in managing accounts receivable & payable processes (Invoicing reconciliations collections & followup ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions client/vendor coordination with internal teams).
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies internal controls and regulatory requirements related to all accounting processes and assisting in implementing any required changes.
  • Reconciling general ledgers bank statements and supporting financial documents to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial transactions and records.
  • Preparation of weekly forecasts of revenue/sales reports and coordination with respective sales and project management teams for management review/sales meetings.
  • Preparation of cost estimates for internal productions by the staging department ensuring proper costing procedures are followed.
  • Assisting the Regional Finance Controller in preparing finalising and analysing financial statements for monthly group reporting and providing insights for decisionmaking.
    Assisting and providing data to the Regional Finance Controller for the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial reports to support strategic planning and operational objectives in the region.
  • Coordinating with banks intercompanies within the group (related parties) and other service providers for various accounting & finance operational requirements on a regular basis.
  • Assisting the Regional Finance Controller in collaborating with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Utilising accounting software (Opera/Tally) proficiently to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Maintaining all staff records in the HR System and working with PROs during onboarding and offboarding as well as assisting staff with their pays/annual leaves/loans/banking matters/any inquiries.
  • Calculating staff salaries and processing payroll through banking portals & HR software for UAE & KSA. Working with local service providers for regulatory requirements such as GOSI/GPSSA pension payments and submissions.
  • Assisting in the preparation and collection of data for submission of Tax returns (WHT/VAT in KSA) and assisting in UAE VAT submissions on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Providing any other ad hoc reporting or assistance required by the team and the Regional Finance Controller from time to time.
