Are you a dynamic, detail-oriented individual with a knack for production planning and scheduling? We're seeking a Permanent Planner/Scheduler to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating manpower, materials, and resources to meet our production goals.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Planner/Scheduler, your primary responsibilities will include
- Developing and maintaining a detailed production schedule that aligns with company objectives and customer demand. This involves coordinating with various departments, including sales, production, and logistics.
- Utilizing our ERP system to track and analyze production data, including material availability, capacity utilization, and production efficiency. This information will be used to make informed decisions regarding production planning and scheduling.
- Managing manpower scheduling to ensure optimal utilization of resources. This involves coordinating with HR and production managers to align staff availability with production needs.
- Overseeing material planning to ensure the timely availability of necessary materials for production. This involves coordinating with suppliers and maintaining an up-to-date understanding of material lead times.
- Continuously monitoring the production schedule and making necessary adjustments to address any issues that arise, such as equipment breakdowns or material shortages.
- Providing regular reports on production performance, highlighting any areas of concern and proposing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience with ERP systems, and the ability to leverage this technology to enhance production planning and scheduling.
- Proven ability to effectively manage manpower scheduling, ensuring the optimal utilization of resources.
- Experience in material planning, with a solid understanding of material lead times and the ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex production data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
- A degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field would be advantageous.
