Business Analyst
We are looking for someone with a passion for innovation who will seek, develop, and help implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity. Objectives of this role
- Manages multiple projects at the same time with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Utilizes Jira to manage tasks of all project resources including self, internal resources, and 3rd party developers and consultants to ensure completion within expected deadlines, with attention to transparent communication at all levels
- Performs tasks as needed to deliver project or task completion, such as but not limited to; engaging in data cleanup, updating access controls, system configuration, system administration, and developing scripts or custom fields.
- Utilizes PowerBI to develop reporting and dashboards that help stakeholders make informed business decisions and track KPI’s or departmental goals.
- Utilizes various tools and applications to develop reports and schedules for automatic delivery to email at a desired cadence.
- Develops scripts/code in DAX, SQL, XML, XSL, JSON, VBA as needed to achieve reporting needs and functionality of all system integrations and proprietary customizations as needed.
- Drives awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data
- Initiates discovery conversations with stakeholders to identify business needs and process gaps and designs systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels
- Partners with stakeholders cross-functionally to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently at all levels.
- Creates visual flow charts to document current state and utilizes stakeholder feedback to present proposed future state
- Establishes meaningful and lasting relationships with developers, consultants and internal stakeholders for optimized systems integration
- Authors documentation of customized programming and supports their maintenance
- Develops professionally written Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), end user training scripts, and training assessments and deploys training and tracks feedback
- Administers and maintains Sharepoint Library of all technical documentation, knowledgebase, end user training, and SOP’s
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in analytics and application development
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerBI, DAX, Power Query, Power Automate to created automated reporting and visualizations
- High proficiency with scripting in SQL, SSIS, SSRS with ability to create views, custom fields, build queries, and automate reporting
- Experience in generating process documentation and reports
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable receiving feedback to improve processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and user testing
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- High attention to detail
- Results Driven and comfortable wearing many hats and working in a fast paced environment
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
- Experience developing, interpreting, and maintaining Programming/Scripting using Python, XML XSL, JSON, API, VBA
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- High proficiency in technical writing
- Experience with Sage 300 or Accpac
- Experience implementing Jira
