Overview:
The Manager of Technology Operations supports the Senior Manager of Technology Operations in designing controlling and managing the technical processes and operational integrity of the organisations cloud platform. They also oversee and coordinate the dayto day operations of the team ensuring the team meets its shortterm goals.
Reporting to the Director of Technology Operations this position will assist in maintaining and managing the subset of cloud service environment including software deployment and upgrades system setup administration monitoring and configuration disaster recovery and routine update of services.
Core42 is the UAEs nationalscale enabler for cloud and generative AI combining G42 Groups expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on our capabilities as sovereign cloud and HPC specialist we bring generative AI cybersecurity professional and managed services expertise to enable nationalscale program deployments across industries. The Manager of Technology Operations supports the Senior Manager of Technology Operations in designing controlling and managing the technical processes and operational integrity of the organisations cloud platform. They also oversee and coordinate the dayto day operations of the team ensuring the team meets its shortterm goals.
Reporting to the Director of Technology Operations this position will assist in maintaining and managing the subset of cloud service environment including software deployment and upgrades system setup administration monitoring and configuration disaster recovery and routine update of services.
Another important aspect of this position is supporting the operations and evolution of innovative newage cloud solutions at Core42 one of the UAEs fastest growing hightech AIcentric organisations.

People Management
- Assist the senior management of Technology Operations with setting the overall direction of the team providing leadership mentoring and coaching direct reports.
- Support the senior management of Technology Operations with establishing and communicating performance standards ensuring that the teams and individual KPIs for the L2 Operations team are in line with department business unit and Core42 strategic goals.
- Oversee the performance of the L2 Operations team provide direction and guidance to the employees on achieving the teams objectives.
- Engage with senior management of Technology Operations to identify opportunities to improve the teams performance.
- Provide constructive feedback to direct reports and provide inputs to senior management of Technology Operations on performance of employees and areas requiring focus.
- Coach & develop the team to achieve their potential.
Functional
- Support senior management with overseeing the functioning of cloud network data platform and technical offerings.
- In collaboration with the Technology Engineering department support the department with the roll out new features to improve customer success across the Core42 platform.
- Identify infrastructure dependencies integrations data flows and InfoSec requirements to plan and drive these dependencies at various stages of project.
- Support the Senior Manager of Technology Operations with managing the report of infrastructure incidents and follow standard procedures for the escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring the change management incident management and problem management processes visvis response time quality productivity and ticket handling.
- Collaborate with information security and operations team to identify and implement cloud platform gaps.
- Support in the process of identifying sections technologyrelated needs that helps drive automation within the section and direct line of work.
- Apply analytical research and problemsolving skills across various systems and situations including those that may be unfamiliar to address critical issues in line with Core42s code of ethics policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the product owners and managers to ensure that systems are production ready.
- Provide input towards budget preparation for the section to the Senior Manager of Technology Operations.

- Maintain awareness and adherence to the department/sections policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance of the team to the guidelines defined by division/departments such as HR legal risk and quality assurance in addition to Core42s framework and DoA.
- Participate in the periodic audit of established policies and procedures.
Management Reporting
- Contribute to the development of periodic reports as requested by the department head.
- Propose and recommend remedial activities to manage any quality or noncompliance issues that arise during the review of periodic reports.
Personal Professional Development
- Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work and in line with Core42s values/behaviors.
- Engage in the performance appraisal process and reflect on the feedback and recommendations provided by the line manager for development.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A successful record of leading and cultivating a motivated and positive team culture along with a commitment to continuous improvement within Technology Operations (highly desirable).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Information Systems or equivalent field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in a technical support engineering or operations environment along with a proactive problemsolving mindset.
- Minimum 4 years managing and participating in largescale technical projects within core infrastructure including networking storage and computing.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure manage resources efficiently and adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends are key attributes.
- More than 2 years of experience in managing system engineering teams.
- Indepth domain knowledge of cloud and broad scope of IT infrastructure technologies.
