Were looking for a Conceptual Editor / Animator who can bring narratives products and experiences to life through footage and simple motion design. This creative is obsessed with combining footage audio animation copy and photography to create impactful stories and content. Everything from strong manifesto videos and branded films to simple social content edits TIKTOKs and Instagram Reels.

The project mockup is the Conceptual Editor / Animators blueprint. Designing it usually involves brainstorming sessions with other creatives such as Art Directors Copywriters Multi Media Designer and more to decide upon the creative direction of a given project.

The Conceptual Editor / Animator spend most of their time using the tools found in the Adobe Creative Suite and has ability to research and discover pieces of footage from any given place and combine them into a strong narrative with a consistent look and feel.

Being at the center of ideation and output the Conceptual Editor / Animator bases edits on input and feedback from internal and external sstakeholders in the creative process the first version of something often varies significantly from the final version.

In summary: The Conceptual Editor / Animator is responsible for editing and animating a narrative / storyline. They conduct several hours of meticulous research to make consistent narratives in edit compositions and color while ensuring an edit in precise and impactful play with audio.

Responsibilities and expectations

• Successfully executes projects within established budgets and time frames on strategy and per client.
• Partners effectively with other creatives and across agency multidisciplinary teams
• Resourceful researcher; has their finger on the pulse of the creative industry and the visual and audio space.
• Constant learner and student of new editing trends motion trends and technologies
• Augment and develop creative techniques research and incorporate new technology
• Will develop an indepth understanding of client requirements to properly coordinate and guide clients through the creative process
• Edit design and animate individually or as part of a team depending on project needs.
• Collaborate and share ideas with the creative and production teams.
• Deliver simple visual photographic storyboards

Core Skills

• Experience with taking a written manifesto / brief and turning it into an impactful visual and audio story that portrays the essence of a given concept
• Skilled in the latest version of the Adobe Creative Suite
• Applicable knowledge of After Effects
• Produce looktests based on provided reference materials and create moodboards / project mockups that outline the thinking and inspires the final edit
• Strong editing capabilities and a great eye for graphic design.
• Experience with sound design and an obsession in making audio and video play meticulously together. The right energy in every edit is key.
• A holistic understanding of all elements that go into any given project and the ability to create a strong case study that in a simple manner brings the gist and entirety of project to life
• Basic production skills
• Comfortable on both Mac and PC OS
• Promote consistency within projects files and folder structures
• Happy to work within tight timelines
• Great communicator bring questions and ideas to the forefront
• A strong sense of initiative work ethic and team spirit is paramount
• Work within the project requirements and production deadlines to complete all tasks
• Organizational skills and the ability to integrate with the companys organizational standards
• Nice to have: Experience with 3D tools such as Cinema 4D

• Strong working knowledge of current editing styles across a variety of platforms. From traditional platforms such as Youtube and TV to the more contemporary platforms such as TIKTOK and Instagram Reels.

• Must provide a portfolio of work that showcases your talents in editing simple animation and motion graphics
• Experience working with various design styles from photoreal and highly stylized videos to simple illustrative videos.
• Working knowledge of the software and hardware used in the postproduction process
• Must be able to work well within a team environment and take direction
