Pharmaron is a leading clinical research company, and we are currently looking for a Clinical Research Nurses to join our team on a part-time basis in Baltimore, Maryland. The Clinical Research Nurse participates throughout the entire clinical trials study process.
As a Research Nurse, you are responsible for a variety of clinical research activities, ensuring that established protocols are followed, maintaining study protocol integrity, monitoring participant's status and safety, and playing a significant role in the training of clinical staff.
- Performs nursing specific tasks, as required by protocol, and towards the care and well-being of study participants
- Confirms that unit is prepared for upcoming studies, including preparation of specimen collection, inventory of medical supplies, and required equipment
- Explains protocol procedures to participants
- Responsible for the Informed Consent process; from initial informed consent and throughout all phases of study discusses study details with the participant in accordance with ICH and FDA guidelines
- Performs study-related tasks and procedures, such as investigational product administration, phlebotomy, urine collections, placement and maintenance of IV catheters, vital signs, ECGs, etc
- Monitors and documents all participants' adverse events, medical conditions and responses to study medications and treatments
- Quality controls source documents and other work regularly throughout each shift
Schedule:
- 12-hours shift (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am) - depends on Study schedule
- RNs to be flexible to do Dayshifts and Nightshifts, this doesn't mean you will flip around constantly, but once a while you may need to work the shifts which is not your preferred shift
- One weekend every 2 week
Qualifications:
- BSN degree required
- MD State license required
- 3 to 5 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- 1 year of clinical research experience is a plus
